Ohio Statute of Limitations for IBEW Asbestos Claims
The Ohio asbestos personal injury statute of limitations is 2 years from diagnosis under Ohio Rev. Code § 2305.10. This deadline runs from the date of confirmed mesothelioma, asbestosis, or asbestos-related lung cancer diagnosis — not from the date of exposure, which may have occurred 30–50 years earlier.
IBEW Electricians who worked in Ohio during the asbestos era and have been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease should consult an asbestos attorney promptly. The deadline is strict and individual.
